Application & Surface Preparation

For optimal results, ensure that the application surface is sound and clean, free from grease, oil, rust, scale, dirt, or any other contaminants that might affect adhesion or performance. When overcoating existing line markings, we recommend conducting test areas to confirm good adhesion and compatibility with the substrate.

Concrete and other cementitious surfaces, including power-float, tamped, or brushed concrete, monoblocks, and pavers, should be sound, clean, and free from laitance. It is advisable to carry out a suitable surface preparation method prior to applying the product to ensure a clean and sound substrate.

Examples of suitable preparation methods include captive shot blasting, diamond grinding, scabbling, or planing. Attention to cleanliness and good workmanship is critical, as any loose material, dust, soiling, or previous coatings can significantly reduce adhesion of new coatings.

New concrete should be allowed to harden fully before coating, as the curing process and residual moisture can lead to product delamination if applied too early.
