The sign should be placed at the start of the unsegregated route at either 750mm or 600mm to accommodate the small logos. Repeaters at 100mm-450mm or ground marking of the circle symbol diagram can be used to remind path users of the regulations.

There are no standard supplementary signs for this diagram; however, it can be used with the 'number of a route' sign for pedal cycles forming part of a national or regional cycle route network.

The marking of separate sections of the path can be achieved using line marking to diagram at 150mm wide or by raised profile marking. The latter would be more easily detected by blind and partially sighted pedestrians.
