Description

Description

This Premium fast drying, high-build line marking paint is suitable for nearly all line marking applications. It is specifically designed for hard surfaces such as roads, car parks, distribution centres, airports, and docks. Being an epoxy product, it features a lower solvent content compared to traditional options, making it highly resistant to fuels and oils. The paint can be applied using roller, brush, or spray methods and is available in 5 and 20 Kilogram tins with a variety of colors.

Key Features

  • Line marking paint approved for use on airfields.
  • Can be manufactured to any RAL colour, with short lead times.
  • Hard-wearing product, well proven in demanding locations.
  • Excellent adhesion to concrete and asphalt surfaces, including blocks and pavers.

Application

Surface Preparation

The surface for application must be sound and clean, free from grease, oil, rust, scale, dirt, or any contaminants that might affect adhesion or performance. Especially when overcoating existing line markings, it is recommended to apply test areas to ensure good adhesion and compatibility with the substrate.

For weathered asphalt, it is advised to allow it to harden for up to 6 months prior to painting. Conduct test trials on a small area first.

For concrete and other cementitious surfaces – including powerfloat, tamped, or brushed concrete, monoblocks, and pavers – ensure the surface is sound, clean, and free from laitance. Appropriate preparation methods should be employed to return the surface to a clean and sound substrate.

Recommended preparation methods include captive shot blasting, diamond grinding, scabbling, or planing. It is essential to maintain cleanliness and quality workmanship, as any loose material, dust, contaminants, or previous coatings can compromise the adhesion of the new coating.

New concrete should be allowed to cure before application, as residual moisture can lead to delamination if coated too early.
