Structural Requirements

Galvanisation: All steel components are hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009, ensuring long-term protection against corrosion.

System Height: The assembled guardrail should reach 1100 mm in height.

Handrail Spacing: Centre rails positioned at 500 mm intervals.

Kickplate Requirement: A 100 mm toe board (Kickflat) is required, unless an existing upstand provides sufficient protection.
Installation Guidelines

Post Spacing: Vertical uprights must be positioned every 3 metres.

Counterweight Configuration:

Each upright is stabilised with a 22 kg weight connected via a 1.2 m outrigger.

Double weights are required at the ends of each guardrail run for enhanced stability.
